close-window-button in compiz sometimes closes window below

Bug Description
When I have multiple maximied windows open on compiz, sometimes the click on the closebutton in the upperright, selects the window below and closes it.

This happens with non-maximized windows as well; it appears that mouse events are not registered on the window's borders and title bar.
