Bug Description

Binary package hint: locales

Command "dpkg-reconfigure locales" should permit user to choose what languages want to support and the default locale language with an interactive menu as Debian does.
I will attach a screen capture to you can see what i want to say.

Ubuntu uses the language selector and automatic installation/removal of locales by the language packs, so we won't fix this anytime soon.

The problem is that Ubuntu with its language-selector and its language-packs install too many locales, surely more than the user wants to install, and when a package needs to reconfigure locales, all these locales are generated, wasting several time.
