Bug Description

The current version of owncloud in supported releases has known security bugs. We should update to 5.0.12 in all releases.

TEST CASE:
install 5.0.10 on saucy and set up an account and some data
upgrade to 5.0.12 from -proposed and check you can still use all the features of owncloud

I tried to backport it to raring, as usual there are many dependencies which don't exist in raring so need removed with the 3rdparty files included directly in the package. However when I did this it would not let me get past the first page and register an account, it just gave a blank page. Fixes welcome but I guess for now the backport can only be on saucy.

Hello Jonathan, or anyone else affected,

Accepted into saucy-proposed. The package will build now and be available in a few hours in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

I installed owncloud 5.0.10 from the archive on a new ec2 server running Kubuntu 13.10 and uploaded some files.

I then upgraded to 5.0.12 packages from saucy-proposed and restarted apache for good luck. On loading owncloud in a web browser it ran the "upgrading to 5.0.12" notice three times but then ran as expected so I consider it a successful upgrade.
