ntfs-3g error when committing an svn trunk

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ntfs-3g

version 1:1.616-1

If I execute
svn checkout http://avant-window-navigator.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ avant-window-navigator
by a normal user I get this error
svn: Can't set permissions on 'avant-window-navigator/.svn/entries.2.tmp': Operation not permitted

I understand that maybe in ntfs-3g the owner cannot be changed (though it is a POSIX filesystem) so I executed the command as root

the files are downloaded but the process ends with this error

What is the problem?

About the permission handling please see the ntfs-3g manual (type on a console: man ntfs-3g).

The svn move input/output error is fixed at http://ntfs-3g.org/rename-fix.diff and will be included in the soon coming ntfs-3g release if no side-effect is found during the quality assurance process.

The fix Szabolcs mentions appears to be this in 1.710, which is included in gutsy now:

  fix: move, rename and hard link could return "input/output error"

Nicolò, could I confirm as what user you started ntfs-3g and with what mount options?
