Bug Description

In trusty, postgresql-9.3 is now the default, and we dropped support for 9.1. This bug tracks the remaining reverse dependencies in trusty.

Current trusty-proposed postgis moved to 9.3, but 2.1.0 does not work on non-x86 architectures yet. In the worst case we have to remove powerpc/armhf/armel if it doesn't get fixed in time.

Glom is a bit of a beast, it currently crashes in trusty (even with -9.1).

Martin, Glom crashes because of bug #1243071 (a crash caused by an unanticipated change in libxml's behaviour). Basically the Glom package is just badly in need of an update at least to bugfix version. That's almost always true of the Ubuntu Glom package. It's unrelated to PostgreSQL. I link to some PPA packages here: http://www.glom.org/wiki/index.php?title=Download#Desktop_Linux

I'll check that the upstream code works with this new version of PostgresSQL, though it's not likely that any upstream bugfixes for changes would find their way into Ubuntu soon enough.

For the record, I removed orafce, pljava, and repmgr from trusty. It looks like it'll still take a while until they get ported upstream, and once they do they will just autosync back into Ubuntu.

I tested glom against postgresql-9.3 with the music collection template, and also added/edited some bands/albums. Works fine, and nothing unusual in the debug output. Uploading build against 9.3, to finish the 9.1 transition.

This bug was fixed in the package glom - 1.22.4-0ubuntu5

---------------
glom (1.22.4-0ubuntu5) trusty; urgency=medium

  * Revert previous change. libtool is necessary after all, and libtool has
been fixed to actually provide libtool again.
