Binary package hint: debian-installer

The first boot screen on the installation CD includes and number of boot choices

The 3rd choice "Install with driver update CD" is not using the translated string.

Which distribution (ubuntu, kubuntu etc.) and which version (dapper, feisty) is affected by this bug?
Also which install cd? Live or alternate?

The live CD is missing localized text for "Install with driver update CD"
The alternative CD is missing localized text for "Text mode install for manufacturers"

Tested on Gutsy Tribe 3 even though the issue existed on the original Feisty CDs too.
All languages are affected.

Confirming this bug.

Reproduce:
Boot from latest Gutsy image, change language. Menu still shows "install with driver ..." in English. I guess this is only a problem of a mal formated translation string not being replaced.

This is definitely fixed now; for example in the final Ubuntu 7.10 release you can see the translation perfectly fine in German and Swedish (just the first two I tried). Of course the string has changed in Hardy and needs to be retranslated, but that's normal enough; it's translatable, which is the main thing.
