Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
While trying to install Ubuntu 6.06LTS from a CD while installing I got this error
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/
install(
File "/usr/bin/
ret = wizard.run()
File "/usr/lib/
self.
File "/usr/lib/
raise RuntimeError, ("install failed with exit code %s; see"
RuntimeError: install failed with exit code 1; see /var/log/
The message above that also told me to include some files:
/var/log/
/var/log/syslog
/var/log/partman
butr unfortunately I couldn't reach those files because not a single program worked anymore. I can still move the mouse around, but that's it. (if u wonder how I'm typing this: I have 2 PC's :) )
My specs:
COMPAQ Presario 2300 - 2104EA
512MB RAM
Radeon graphics card (can't check which one it is now, because Linux crashed :p)
Triaged to Incomplete. Run the Check CD option to make sure the CD is OK. Then try booting to safe graphics mode, then try intall.
