When i have it on, I cant open chats via the ballons.
Also make sure and tell us if you are using the Guifications or Libnotify plugin.

I am using Libnotify. My computer at home has full Compiz enablement and the show button does nothing. My work laptop has Compiz installed but it stopped working a couple of weeks after installing intrepid and now I cannot turn on any of the desktop effects by the "Appearance" application ... and the show button does not work: not sure if this is relevant - quite happy to try some experiments if you want me to add/remove anything.

Just done a test and found the reason Compiz has stopped working is my dual screen setup:

sudo compiz --replace

Trying again with indirect rendering:

With the new notifications system, buttons don't show up on notification bubbles, so this bug has no effect.
