Bug Description

The evolution antispam filter doesn't work because of the fact that spamassassin
is (in fact) absolutely necessary for the normal function of that evolution
filter as you can see in the console outing below (1). However, spamassassin is
a recommended package actually and belongs to universe repositories. It causes a
general confusion in evolution users and nobody, anywhere is advised ..as far as
we (too many people) know.

Therefore, I think spamassassin ought to be a obligatory dependency of evolution.

An upstream bug about this: http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=73041

We don't want to move sa to main and there is no other spam plugin for other
antispams

I don't quite agree that these are duplicates: this bug is about the fact that
spamassassin is missing from the default install - and/or that Evolution takes
spamassassin for granted.

The upstream bug is about missing error reporting in Evolution.

And 18678 is mostly about the fact that spam filtering is broken in evolution,
even if spamassassin is installed, due to the way it is configured in Ubuntu.

Three quite different issues, IMHO.

Even with SA installed, spam filtering will not work. Both bugs are solved by the bogofilter plugin. (need to check a fresh installation to see if it is installed)
