Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Apport doesnt seem to be picking this up, but its easy to reproduce.

Just do Preference Compaoser -> Signatures

The add/edit one, set its format to html, add an image, add some text, and then right click the image and under "Image Style" set the alignment to middle.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I cannot get evolution to crash with the steps you told us, please try to obtain a backtrace http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem. Also tell us which version of Evolution you're running.

Ugghh, just to be awkward, when i run evo in gdb, i get the same crash but it just the output is just:

[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
[New Thread -1233823056 (LWP 16149)]
CalDAV Eplugin starting up ...

Program exited normally.

So not very useful at all ...

Is it possible to to reset my apport ignore settings so i can capture the crash properly? I assume its in evolution-data-server ..

Hi all,

I have the same problem.
It was on Feisty, I still have it on Gusty with last update. (Evolution 2.12.0, Ubuntu package 2.12.0-0Ubuntu5)
It's the first thing I have test on my new Gusty installation. (So I think Gnome / Evolution are clean)

To reproduce : Insert image in your message body (in HTML message). Then, right click on it, choose "Style" and "Picture Style" (<- I think, I have french version). Finally, Change "Alignment" from "Bottom" to another like "Middle" or "Top" = Crash !

---- "I cannot get evolution to crash with the steps you told us, please try to obtain a backtrace http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the bug report."
I follow instruction, backtrace is attach to this report. Hope it's correct and useful.

---- "you can attach gdb to evolution-data-server if that's it which is crashing"
I don't know how to do that ? I've a already install gdb package of the evolution-data-server.

Sorry for English, I'm french but I can send you more precision.

Could you open a new bug using apport so it can be retraced in a debug version?
