Bug Description
$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Release: 14.04
LibreOffice Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+
Steps to reproduce.
a) Launce a recent build of LO
b) Open Writer or Calc
c) File -> Open"
What is expected to happen in Writer is
The open dialog will display on the screen
What happened instead is...
Nothing
With the same build of LO in Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Mint Cinnamon, and Mint Mate, the file->open dialog is working. So this is a Unity specific issue.

Please file alpha-specific issues at the upstream bug tracker. This one should be used for Ubuntu and official PPA packages of libreoffice.
