Bug Description

Binary package hint: music-applet

In Feisty, hovering over the time in the music-applet displayed info about the song being played in a tooltip.

Since Gutsy, Music Applet version 2.2.0, the tooltip is empty (a minimal yellow rectangle is shown).

Tooltips for navigation works, as do the tooltip for the regular Rhythmbox icon. Haven't tried with any other player besides Rhythmbox.

Thank you for reporting this bug. I think there's just something broken.
If someone can confirm this, the bug can confirmed. I'm upgrading to gutsy amd64 at the moment, I'll have a look too.

I can't confirm this on Gutsy amd64, up to date on 5 September, with music-applet 2.2.0-1 Is this still an issue for you? Are there other people with the same problems?

Also got music-applet 2.2.0-1 and the rest is completely updated as of right now, but i386. Tried removing and adding it back etc too.

Don't know about any others with the same problem.

I have the same issue.

I tried with the following players:
- Rhythmbox
- Banshee
- Exaile
- Quod libet

It works in none of them. Interestingly, if "Notification on song change" is enabled, a libnotify bubble with the information is displayed correctly, the tooltip is still empty though.

I can confirm this on i386 too, and hopefully today I'll be able to give it a go on amd64 also.
