[gutsy] update-alternatives --quiet problem

Bug Description

Binary package hint: dpkg

Various packages are trying to run update-alternatives --quiet ... in postinst scripts etc. This fails on my system which does not support --quiet.

Sorry, not a bug, local problem on my system. I had installed the Ipkg packaging system and it added its own update-altenatives to /usr/local/bin which was being picked up before the dpkg one.

Changed in dpkg:
status: New → Invalid

Which version of dpkg do you have installed and which version of
Ubuntu are you running ?
