Bug Description
I install ubuntu 7.10 tribe5 on my test computer using only two partions (root, swap) from the alternative CD. The root partition use XFS and the installer try to install LILO insteed of GRUB. In follow of this there is no bootsplash.
Why it install LILO insteed of GRUB? Has GRUB already Problems with XFS?
Cheers
Sascha

Yes, this is expected behaviour; grub can't handle the filesystem containing /boot being on XFS. Use a small /boot partition on some other filesystem if you want to use grub.
