Bug Description

[Impact]

Users of Schroots/Sbuild in Trusty won't be able to use overlay(fs) properly with 3.19 kernels.

[Test Case]

Use sbuild to build a package.

[Regression Potential]

This patch was backported to trusty which should allow either overlayfs v1 or v2 to work. This means v3.13, v3.16, v3.19 + should all function properly.

Could this please be nominated for a 14.04.3 SRU instead of being pushed to the next point release? Using the current point release/vivid HWE makes union-type=overlayfs completely unusable (which is a regression from the previous point release/utopic HWE).

Accepted schroot into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/schroot/1.6.8-1ubuntu1.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

Ubuntu SDK can't use schroot with ecryptfs and kernel 3.19 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/click/+bug/1427264).

I confirm that this bug fixed in schroot package version 1.6.8-1ubuntu1.1. Now schroot mount works with ecryptfs and kernel 3.19.0-31.
