I loose menu bars when I switch from desktop 1 to 2-4

Whem I switch between my desktops I loose both menubars. I have to log off and log back in to get back to desktop 1.

Thanks for your report. Are you using Desktop Effects? Which video card do you have? looks like a dup.

No desktop effects are being used. I have the standard Intel chipset that comes with the Dell D3000. I rectified the problem by avoiding KDE envirorment installation. Something about it seemed to gum up the works, being that gnome is defaulted to 2 panels and KDE messes with it and gives four.

no, they are turned off. The bug seems to come from the KDE consol, being that gnome is defaulted to 2 desktops and KDE gives four. I rectified the problem by removing KDE desktop.

doesn't look like a gnome-panel bug and works correctly now, closing, feel free to reopen if you still get the issue though

I have this problem with 7.10, desktop effecta and a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop.
This bug is not fixed and reproducable. I also uninstalled any KDE references to make sure it is not dependant on that.
