Bug Description

In version 0.13.2 menu items go grey, and they cannot be pressed.

I can select 3-4 items in menu, but after that the menu go grey, and cannot be selected any new items.

Why don't you ask for beta-testing before releasing a new version?

Platform: Windows 7, 32-bit

Platform? Which menus?

Binary packages of version 0.13.2 was published for testing every weekend for 3 months. We published also 4 release candidates with announces on big astronomical forums.

No, 0.13.2 was released just right now. I cannot see this in beta version. Not "every weekend". What do you mean by "big astronomical forums"?

I'm built and upload 0.13.1.xx on launchpad.net every week latest 3 months. Of course, this packages has been available under "beta" link. What exactly you are seen? :)

Big astronomical forums... Well, I meant something like this:

http://stargazerslounge.com/topic/232123-stellarium-0132rc1-aka-013195/
http://www.astronomyforum.net/astronomy-software-forum/191267-stellarium-0-13-2rc1-aka-0-13-1-95-a.html

Plus announcement for translators: https://launchpad.net/stellarium/+announcement/13110

And yes, we got few bug reports from beta testers and fixed this issues (but not all).

What say Stellarium in log? How exactly you can get "gray items of menu" (I never seen gray items of menu in Stellarium)?

What "menus" do you mean? The slideout button bars? Or some setting panels? (which?)

Are the buttons/panels gray without text, or do you mean you cannot press buttons because those are grayed-out? (examples?)

What are the "first items"?

Is there a difference in behaviour between full-screen mode and windowed mode?

Ford example in the "Scripts" list I can click on the first 4 items only, but not below them. When I click on a lower item, the window goes grey, the selected item stays selected. Side bar cannot be clicked.

The texts remain. There are no buttons in those lists.

How can I switch to windowed mode?

One more info: I cannot close the program window with Alt-Tab combination.

Anyway, for a while, after a fresh program start everything works fine, I cannot figure out why it goes grey, and sometimes not.

Strange. Your Radeon sounds fine. Anyway, can you try ANGLE and Win32-MESA vesions to rule out graphics-related issues?

Leave fullscreen mode by clicking on the expanded-window icon in the bottom button bar.

BTW, Alt-Tab switches between programs, should not close. (Ctrl-Q for that)

The program now works fine, also in windowed mode. I cannot show the error.
Sorry for the inconvenience. I will send another bugreport, when it appears again.

You can download, install and run several versions, depending on system configuration. Read the FAQ on common problems in V0.13 why we need this. However, your GPU should not cause problems. If all is OK now, fine. Sometimes strange Windows behaviour can be solved by rebooting...

The bug showed up again today. The Stellarium is the same copy, nothing changed.

It seems to me it is related with the option "Check for updates". It was ON, but at the same time the Stellarium was blocked in the firewall (this is the default). I switched "Check for updates" to OFF, and the bug went away.

I cannot produce the bug now. I guess the update checking does not run every time when the program starts, because the firewall does not show the warning window.

The bug is quite annoying, because you cannot switch OFF the update option, it is also grey.
