[Gutsy] The Gnucash icon is missing

the attached debdiff changes the icon value for gnucash-icon-48x48 in :

src/gnome/gnucash.desktop.in.in
src/gnome/gnucash.desktop.in
debian/gnucash.menu
debian/gnucash.desktop

the new Gnucash icon is beautiful, nobody want to miss this :)

This seems to affect 2.2.1-1ubuntu4~feisty1. The taskbar icon/window icon is back, the but Gnome desktop icon is now gone.

In the latest Gutsy release, Scott Kitterman made a patch in the debian/patch folder for this. I'm sure that you can find what you need here.

The same patch is in the 2.2.1-1ubuntu4~feisty1 backport. What I don't
understand is that the .desktop file specifies

Icon=gnucash-icon-48x48

and

$ ls -l /usr/share/pixmaps/gnucash-icon-48x48.png
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3642 2007-10-12 23:53
/usr/share/pixmaps/gnucash-icon-48x48.png

and still no icon in the Applications menu.

Any ideas?

That sounds strange to me! I don't see where is the error.

I even installed the feisty package for gnucash and gnucash-common in
Gutsy to test it and the icon appears! It looks like the problem just
happens in Feisty..

the permissions for /usr/share/pîxmaps/gnucash-icon-48x48.png is the
same on Gutsy..

No. I don't understand it. The icon file is correctly referenced in
the .desktop file.

As it is merely a cosmetic problem, I have given up...

Is there a file ~/.local/share/applications/gnucash.desktop? Please remove it :-D
