It's not clear this is a bug in the Ubuntu ubiquity. Marking invalid as Linux Mint bugs shouldn't be reported against Ubuntu. If this can be replicated in Ubuntu, then feel free to reopen it.

Ah, I understand. I just followed the link provided by the crash report when
attempting to install Linux Mint.

This was a bug in Ubuntu, but is long since fixed. It appears that Linux Mint is using an older version of Ubiquity.
