Terminal window black when maximized

Bug Description

Note: This might be a duplicate of Bug #112568.

I've just upgraded from Feisty to Gutsy and now when I open my gnome-terminal window, which is done through my keyboard shortcut of Ctrl+Alt+X, the window opens perfectly.
But when I maximize the window, both through Alt+F10 and via the Maximize window button, all window content goes black.
I can see the menu and window frame and stuff, but not the command prompt.

To make the terminal visible, I just have to left clock somewhere in the window, but I can't find a way to do it with the keyboard only.

A very disturbing behavior to me who like not to use the mouse more than necessarily.

I'm using "Normal" Visual Effects.

Thank you for your bug. Does it happen without the desktop effects? What videocard and driver do you use?

No, it does not appear with desktop effects turned off.
Actually, with the latest updates, it's just black for a few seconds, then it's all visible by it self.

But another related problem is when I open up a new Tab with Ctrl+Shift+T (or by menus) nothing seems to happen (except that the cursor stops blinking).
Then I really have to click on the window (anywhere) until the window update it's contents.
