OO writer 2.3 crash when manipulating picture

Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

In ubuntu 7.10 beta (15-10-07) it is impossible to insert a picture from file (gif or jpg). After inserting the picture OO writer crashes.

It seems that this bug is an old one which is reintroduced.

Open writer via the applications menu. Drag a picture into the document.... OOo hangs

Note that I am using the closed source NVidia drivers (GF6600GT)
