Bug Description

When I run Update Manager on 7.10 RC I go to install the updates and everytime I receive this error message:

E: tzdata: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 10
E: util-linux: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

When I hit close/okay on the error message box Update Manager then checks again for any updatese and displays the same ones I was trying to install.

How can I fix this?

This looks like tzdata's postinst script causes the trouble.

Can you paste the output of "sudo apt-get install -f"?
And maybe also what "sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata" does?
(Please execute both statements in a terminal)

When I ran suo apt-get install -f this is what i got(sorry its long):

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree

The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:

12 not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B of archives.
After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be used.

I've found this: http://de.pastebin.ca/534882, which suggests running:
DEBCONF_DEBUG=developer dpkg --configure tzdata

Please provide the output for this. Maybe it's the same problem (some "non-existent" timezone).

Maybe you can help me with one more thing, 7.10 does not detect my HDA1 which is my windows partition, like the previous install did, is there a way I can fix this?

James
