Install to Disk goes into infinite loop while searching mirror servers

Bug Description
Installing gutsy from the DVD to disk goes into an infinite loop if the network requires a http proxy.
First wget, and then /usr/lib/
and then tries to connect to the same mirror servers again, and again, and again, and then tries to connect to the same mirror servers again, and again, and again, and then tries to connect to the same mirror servers again, and again, and again, and then...
To complete the installation, you have to figure out how to kill the running installation (sudo killall ubiquity; sudo killall log-output seems to work),
unplug the network and restart the installation.
This way you end up with an installation without security updates, so I'll check the button below.
