Bug Description
Binary package hint: python-tz
When trying to install python-matplotlib I noticed that it wanted to install Python2.4 when Python2.5 was already installed.
Going through it's dependencies I believe that python-tz is the culprit.
Looking at it's dependencies in Synaptic it says...
Depends: tzdata
Depends: python2.5
Depends: python2.4
Depends: python
Depends: python-central (>=0.5.8)
Conflicts: python2.3-tz
Conflicts: python2.4-tz
Replaces: python2.3-tz
Replaces: python2.4-tz
Where you probably just want it to require any version of Python.
I'm using 7.10 on x86_64 with all updates applied etc.

I confirm that behaviour trying to install Matplotlib, tracing back the dependency to this package.
