Bug Description

Title says it all: The melting point of Li at ambient pressure is 453.69 K [1,2], while gperiodic misreports it at 553 K. This should be fixed even if we are probably switching to gelemental as per bug #145169. I will later open a bug at Debian and sync it with this one.

[1] "Solid State Physics" by N.W. Ashcroft and N. D. Mermin states Tm=453 K in the periodic table on the back cover.
[2] Webelements, which is also the reference of wikipedia. http://www.webelements.com/webelements/elements/text/Li/heat.html

I can confirm that this is reported correctly by gelemental.

Thanks for the report. No need to open a bug report at Debian - I'm subcribed to the package at launchpad (as you can see).

An updated package wll be available soon.

OK, thanks for all your comments. In any case, I'd still like to see this fixed in Debian (which I'm also using) or in any other distro, for that matter.

I'm the Debian maintainer (I'm not responsible for Ubuntu packages). So it will be fixed in Debian (and then normally synced to Ubuntu). For other distros: There is another data bug in gperiodic, that has already been reported to upstream. I will send another mail to upstream regarding this issue.

So you can be sure, the issue is addressed.
