Hi Kow,

I have looked at this merge, and I disagree with some of your merge
resoution. I have an alternative package that I can provide. I will
explain the details with the rest of the package details.

Here are the updated changes from Debian.

Over and above what Kow has I have noted that debian/rules
remains altered. Also I merged the debian/control.in rather
than taking the Ubuntu one, as Debian changed maintainer.

This new version builds in a hardy chroot, and can successfully
get my email over IMAPS in a Hardy VM.

There were no Ubuntu changes dropped.

Here is the debian/ portion of the changes from the last
Ubuntu version, though it is not very interesting.
