Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution-rss

I just started testing Hardy Heron yesterday and noticed today that in evolution I no longer have the rss-plugin under the plugins menu nor do I have the ability to add new rss feeds. I have tried reinstalling the evolution-rss package but it still won't work.

I suppose you already have evolution rss plugin enabled (Edit->Plugins).
Can you run evolution from terminal and paste in the output.

Thanks.

That is part of the problem it doesn't show up at all in the plugins menu. Also I ended up reinstalling Ubuntu due to other problems with wireless etc....so I can't run evolution from the terminal.

I understand you have reinstalled Ubuntu. Have you also installed evolution-rss ?
Does the initial problem still exists after reinstall ?
Running evolution from the terminal I meant to start evolution in the gnome-terminal
Applications->System Tools->Terminal

I reinstalled Ubuntu after I had filed the bug so now I am running Gutsy Gibbon. It worked fine in Gutsy than I upgraded to Hardy, after I restarted is when I started having problems. The plugin is installed in Synaptic but it doesn't show up in the Edit>Plugins Menu.

I have the same problem.

Here is the terminal output of evolution:

(evolution:16553): e-utils-WARNING **: can't load plugin '/usr/lib/evolution/2.22/plugins/liborg-gnome-evolution-rss.so: undefined symbol: soup_message_get_header'

I think this happens because evolution is already using and compiled with the latest libsoup, in this case upstream (mapes) should update rss to use the the new libsoup.
