Bug Description

Impact
======
chrome-gnome-shell as packaged in Ubuntu 16.10 does not support Google Chrome, even though Chrome is supported upstream and in the upstream-maintained PPA.

Therefore, Chrome users wanting integration with https://extensions.gnome.org/ would need to install this package from the PPA.

Test Case
=========
1. From Ubuntu GNOME 16.10, visit https://www.google.com/chrome/ in your web browser. Download and install Google Chrome. I had to use
apt install ./google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb because the GNOME Software app wouldn't install the .deb

2. Visit this page and install the extension (the Ubuntu package is only the connector; you still need the extension)

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gnome-shell-integration/gphhapmejobijbbhgpjhcjognlahblep

3. Visit https://extensions.gnome.org/local/

Turn on Applications Menu. Does an Applications Menu show in the top left of your screen?

Regression Potential
====================
This just adds a few extra files in /etc/opt/chrome/

Other Info
==========
This bug can't be fixed in Debian yet because Debian currently auto-rejects packages which try to write to /etc/opt/ but that's where Google Chrome looks for system-installed extensions. See https://bugs.debian.org/840235

I confirm that with chrome-gnome-shell 7.1-1ubuntu0.1, I am able to enable and disable the Applications Menu by clicking the toggle switch at https://extensions.gnome.org/local/ with both Chromium and Google Chrome in Ubuntu GNOME 16.10.
