Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager

Hi,

since I upgraded to Gusty, cdrom don't show up on the desktop when I insert them. I have to type 'mount /cdrom' to get access to them.
Also nautilus cdburner don't see blank cdr or cdrw when inserted.

Usb keys work fine.

I will attach logs as described in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingRemovableDevices

I just noticed this : if the cdrom if inserted before I log into Gnome (ie before I type my user/password in GDM), then it is mounted on the desktop...

Then I can eject it, but if I insert it again (while logged in Gnome), it won't be mounted. If I then log out from gnome, and log in again, CD will be mounted.

Maybe it has something to do with wrong permissions ???

I reinstalled my system with Hardy beta. Problem is gone, so it definitely was a software problem... Maybe we will never know what problem it was :)
