Timeout error

I get "Timeout error" like constantly and have to reload the page multiple times to not get "Timeout error" and it have been like this for me the last couple of weeks maybe.

Using "Search" gives me "Timeout error" every time. Please fix it.

This is a periodic issue; it typically appears for ten minutes or so and then goes away again. It seems to be due to some kind of internal PostgreSQL maintenance task that locks the creation of temporary tables; when we've looked into it previously the lock seem to show up in any of the usual status tables. When we've discussed it in the past we concluded our best hope was to upgrade to a newer version of PostgreSQL (we're currently on 9.3) and hope that either that fixes the problem or at least gives us more information to go on.

@plamen-mbx: A search timeout, or a timeout that doesn't involve bug creation or modification, is unrelated to this bug. If you still see it, please provide details in a new bug report, quoting any OOPS ID.

We've deployed improved database triggers to production, so this should be much better now. If you still see persistent bug update timeouts, please file a new bug and we'll be interested to look into what's causing it.
