Bug Description

Impact
======
As announced when Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 was released, Ubuntu GNOME users will be upgraded to the regular Ubuntu desktop when they upgrade to the next stable release.

This means that ubuntu-gnome-desktop will become a transitional package depending on ubuntu-desktop.

For people who prefer a more upstream GNOME experience, the Ubuntu GNOME desktop would like to provide a new vanilla-gnome-desktop metapackage which is basically a continuation of what ubuntu-gnome-desktop used to be.

We have no intention of making iso's for this vanilla GNOME.

So it's time to stop building the ubuntu-gnome daily ISOs now too.

Sure, as far as the release team is concerned.

Please follow up with the cdimage team regarding dropping Ubuntu GNOME
ISOs. You'll probably want to edit livecd-rootfs and lp:ubuntu-cdimage
at least, no doubt others (the ISO tracker) too. The ubuntu-release ML
is as good a place as any for that.

I can help with disabling the cron jobs from nusakan once needed, but an MP for ubuntu-cdimage would be welcome anyway.
