Bug Description

In the last few days, imports seem to fail without further notification or information.

The following translations passed from the "Needs review" state to "Failed" after a few hours without any e-mail stating the reason or the fact that they failed at all (they can also be seen on my import queue):

* http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10690374/ca.po (timer-applet)
* http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10690285/ca.po (gnome-panel)
* http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10690351/serpentine-ca.po (serpentine)
* http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10690366/olive-gtk-ca.po (olive-gtk)

In all of the cases the translation passed a "msgfmt -c" check and the "X-Rosetta-Export-Date" line was not removed either.

I have the same problem: https://translations.launchpad.net/shotserver/0.4/+imports

This problem is not related to bug 173144, I don't have any of the translator credit msgid strings.

As far as I can make out, these problems are caused by two different bugs. Bug 173670 is causing the Shot Server failures, and bug 173144 seems to be causing the other ones. A fix for the former is waiting to be rolled out very soon; the fix for the latter is also ready but will be rolled out with the December release.

See the description of bug 173144 for a workaround.
