Bug Description

Binary package hint: alacarte

This is on Hardy that's why i made a new bug report, the others were from Gutsy and Feisty..

When you delete something out of the menu with the Delete key, it gives the TypeError.. Doing it with the mouse (right click -> remove) doesn't.

I just encountered this bug. Using hardy, alacarte 0.11.3-1ubuntu1.
Deleting menu items and the reverting back to default usually triggers the bug.

I was selecting from "System -> Preference -> Programming" phython checkbox when the crash popup appears. However, after reporting the problem, the main menu option did not disappear and I'm still able to continue with my selection.

I'm quoting Engcheng on this. While the problem is reported and apport is triggered, alacarte does not crash.

I am able to reproduce this 100% with the following steps.

1) Open alacarte, but don't do anything.
2) Make a single right click on something in the right (Items) pane, such as a menu item or separater
3) Important: Do not click anything on the right-click popup!
4) Click twice on [CLOSE]. The first click will dismiss the popup menu. The second will close alacarte (:P) but then immediately bring up the apport report.

This bug is still present at current build, I could reproduce it following the steps of alexrudd. The application (alacarte) doesn't close/crash, but apport launches the reporting window.
