Bug Description

I'd like to install Ubuntu 7.10 (32bits) but installer crashed at about 74% (and I tried more than twice...) and afterwards, I can't do anything even go on the internet because nothing run.
Here is the error message :

Traceback :
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 212, in <module>
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 207, in main
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 65, in install
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/gtk_ui.py", line 425, in run
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/gtk_ui.py", line 779, in progress_loop
RuntimeError : install failed with exit code 135; see /var/log/syslog

And I have to attach the files /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman but I don't know how to do it... I can copy/paste the files but it's very long!

Triaged to Incomplete. It looks like you have 1 GB of RAM and plenty of disk space, but network manager (wireless) is having fits. Perhaps try install with a wired internet connection, then troubleshoot wireless after rebooting into newly installed Ubuntu.

network-manager really has nothing whatsoever to do with this. It just happens to be showing up in the log.

Thanks for your report. Error code 135 ("Bus error") and your subsequent inability to run any programs from the live CD are characteristic of a faulty CD/DVD disk or drive. It may help to clean the CD/DVD, to burn the CD/DVD at a lower speed, or to clean the CD/DVD drive lens (cleaning kits are often available from electronics suppliers).

OK but my CD is a CD which come directly from Ubuntu as it's Ubuntu which has send me that CD... So the problem is not what you said...
