Bug Description

Binary package hint: xfce4-panel

I can reproduce this bug 100% of the tries in Gutsy which uses 1.9.4 too. To reproduce the bug I do:
1. Open quicklauncher settings (Right Click on QL -> Properties)
2. double click on one of the "nom" fields
3. enter new text
4. click on adjacent entry to close the selection
5. click on "Close"
6. Restart the Xserver using Ctrl+Alt+Backspace
The tooltip name I have just changed is displayed in the old version

If I restart the panels with --restart or -r between step 5 and 6 the changes are saved and the tooltip is displayed correctly. If I don't do step 4 my changes are not saved either. I have to manually reset the selection or confirm my changes with enter (which closes the settings) to make them work. The only way to save actual changes is to click into a random field after I am done and then choosing "Close".

xfce4-panel version 4.4.1-1ubuntu3

Thank you for your bug report. I can't reproduce this using 1.9.4 in Hardy.

This bug was fixed in the package xfce4-quicklauncher-plugin - 1.9.4-1ubuntu2

---------------
xfce4-quicklauncher-plugin (1.9.4-1ubuntu2) hardy; urgency=low

  * debian/rules: drop xfce.mk and use {autotools,debhelper,simple-patchsys}.mk
    instead.
  * debian/control:
    - set Maintainer to MOTU
    - re-add autotools-dev to b-d
    - bump Standards-Version to 3.7.3, no change
    - move the homepage to the new field.
  * debian/patches: upstream svn patches which fix several issues:
    - 01_save-settings.patch: correctly save plugin settings (LP: #179916)
    - 02_fix-missing-english-translation.patch: add missing English translation
      strings (LP: #179917).

Wow this is just great. Way faster than I ever imagined and you guys did a great job addressing the problems. I don't use the new version just yet, I'll wait for the next update of the files (I like to run the repo versions).

Thanks a lot for solving both of the bugs I submitted and keep up the fantastic work. People like you are the reason for the success of Linux and it will be people like you that will make lots of money and fans with their work in the future. I draw my hat, all my respect.

Merci beaucoup - Thanks a lot
