Nautilus FTP access fails to display permissions

Bug Description

I connected to an ftp server via Nautilus, right click and select properties on any file or folder then click on the permissions tab
but i got "The permissions of 'XXX' could not be determined." is displayed.

Can't rename any file or folder on ftp server I get this error window popup, "The item could not be renamed. Sorry, couldn't rename "abc" to "xyz".

I'm Using Ubuntu 8.04 Last Updated on 01/01/2008.

Thanks for your report, Can those files be renamed with a client like gftp ?

Hello, I used ftp from Terminal rename and change permission on ftp
server. It works with ssh but it does not work with ftp on Nautilus.
