Bug Description
The project page on Launchpad says it's for "until Xubuntu/Lubuntu (Xfce/LXDE) migrate their panel to Gtk+3." Given that there are no reverse dependencies, looks like that's done now. No reverse dependencies, only in Ubuntu.

IT was added for xubuntu/lubuntu, xfce got migrated to gtk3 but lxpanel is still on gtk2 and in the archive (unsure if it does use the indicators though since it doesn't suggests/ recommends/ depends on it), also that component might be deprecated/to delete as well but it would be nice to resolve that question before removing it
