I just installed evolution, I did not install filters and....
the first 2 mails were not sent (I don't know why)
now every time I send a new message it goes (briefly) in "outbox folder" and then in "sent folder" but ALSO in "trash folder".
I don't dare to empty the trash folder...

Thank you for opening this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. This is not a bug, but expected behaviour. Evolution does not physically delete messages until an expunge is performed. Instead, messages are marked logically deleted in the original folder; additionally, the Trash folder is a virtual folder, and lists all messages marked for deletion.
Please go to (on the top menu) to View, and set "Hide Deleted Messages" -- this should then hide all deleted messages in the original folders.
I am marking this notabug; if you do not agree with this, please re-open.
