Kstars development over the last 6 months has seen a lot of releases, and has been hard to keep track of, so we have slipped to quite an old version in the archive.

As always with Kstars, the benefits of being able to ship the latest version at the time of a Kubuntu release far outweighs the risk of regression. Even should there be a regression, upstream fixes are rapid, so a SRU is very possible.
While kstars nearly always mixes some new features into point releases, they do focus mostly on bug fixes and polish. We should note that we are wanting to update here to the 6th point release (3.3.6) of the 3.3 series, so this should represent minimal risk.
Regardless, as a Kubuntu developer I will commit to doing all I can to mitigate any issue that may be found as a result of this FFE (pre and post release).
