Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager-core

A new update-manager-core package was uploaded to dapper-proposed that makes server upgrades from dapper to hardy possible. Please accept as a SRU.

TEST CASE:
1. install update-manager-core from dapper-proposed
2. run do-release-upgrade -d
3. verify that a option to upgrade from dapper to hardy appears on the terminal

In it's current form, this package will not build on dapper. It depends upon python-central which was introduced in edgy. This can be resolved by managing the package with python-support instead. Attached is a patch to switch the uploaded update-manager-core to python-support.

I'm preparing a new upload that fixes the issue that build-depends from universe (in dappers universe) were used. The new upload runs through pbuilder just fine now (sorry for the overlooking of this earlier).

When testing this I discovered bug 151011 again which is probably worth fixing.

After installing update-manager-core version 0.56~dapper3 from dapper-proposed I was then presented with the option to upgrade to Hardy after running 'do-release-upgrade -d'.
