Bug Description
This may be a duplicate of bug #1514057 (close it in case), but without any PPA and just after installing Ubuntu in a new partition.
Followed this ISO testing script (so installed without connection):
- http://
Once installed, I noticed the nvidia driver was marked as "free": https:/
More detailed report from ubuntu-drivers was:
$ ubuntu-drivers devices
== /sys/devices/
modalias : pci:v000010DEd0
vendor : NVIDIA Corporation
model : GP107M [GeForce GTX 1050 3 GB Max-Q]
driver : nvidia-driver-450 - third-party free recommended
driver : xserver-
Once I did an "apt update", this got fixed.
