Bug Description
The PPA for the ubuntu-mobile team (https:/
As of right now (11Feb2008 1600UTC) the PPA page reports it has 29 source packages and 869 binary packages in it, and the source of the PPA web page contains this at the bottom: <!-- at least 4594 queries issued in 19.75 seconds -->
230 queries/sec sounds impressive, but with an average of >5 queries/package the load time is going to increase as we continue to use the PPA. It's already frustrating to wait 30sec to load the page.
Can LP be more aggressive about caching the data used to build the PPA page? Seems to me that it should be possible to cache the data in a way that subsequent page views don't require so many queries, since the data is relatively static and (I assume) each user sees the same data when viewing the page.

Some optimisations to the number of queries was made, reducing them to about 400. Reducing to medium priority for now; although we'll still be doing the caching fix at some point.
