Bug Description

overlay_map.dtb is supposed to be located in /boot/firmware/overlays and *not* in /boot/firmware.

The kernel package seems correct:
$ find /lib/firmware/ -name overlay_map.dtb
/lib/firmware/5.8.0-1006-raspi/device-tree/overlays/overlay_map.dtb

flash-kernel treats all dtb files as - well - dtbs and copies them to boot/firmware. I guess we need an exception for overlay_map.dtb? Or rename overlay_map.dtb to overlay_map.dtbo?

This bug was fixed in the package flash-kernel - 3.104ubuntu3

---------------
flash-kernel (3.104ubuntu3) hirsute; urgency=medium

  * Copy overlay_map.dtb into overlays/ sub-directory instead of the
    root of the boot partition (LP: #1918110)
  * Add minor board revisions to db/all.db

@miskol the initial user setup under ubiquity unfortunately leaves the desktop in X11, but if you reboot you should find you're in a Wayland session with hardware acceleration.

But it isn't, after I restart it sill not working. Wayland mode isn't visible as drivers not available.
I did 2 restarts
Then I run
sudo flash-kernel
sudo reboot
And then all works fine
