Looks mainly like a new feature release, why is this needed? (is the relationship gnome-mplayer -> gecko-mplayer the way, that an upgrade of gnome-mplayer needs a new gecko-mplayer, too?)

Looking closer, you provided a debdiff instead of the diffstat, but looking at that one, there is only very little code changed (as in one/two screens, the remainder is autofoo stuff). That's certainly good to go in, I'd say. ACK.

1) Yes, gnome-mplayer and gecko-mediaplayer have to go in sync.

2) Ops, here attached is the diffstat.
