programing menu is not visible when occupied only with python(2.5) and umbrello

Thanks for reporting. Could you provide a screenshot? I'm not sure I understand what exactly the problem is; Umbrello's menu icon seems fine here.

sure, its on a campus computer, not my personal one, so ill have to get it later. I have not had this problem on any othe system i tested it on. I am the admin for the linux boxes here and know they should be up to date, it is a weird error

Thanks Patrick for the screenshot, I am now classifying this as a bug in gnome-panel as a result.

forgot i submitted this. That computer was the only one that iv'e ever seen that on.

do you get the same using Hardy or Intrepid? Does it happens without compiz activated? which video card do you have and which driver are you using?
