Please merge pexpect 4.8.0-3 from Debian unstable.

Attaching patch against Debian unstable. For ease of review, relevant commits
and tags have been pushed to the following repository:

https://code.launchpad.net/~waveform/ubuntu/+source/pexpect/+git/pexpect

Specifically:

* logical/4.8.0-2ubuntu1 represents our split-out delta on top of old/debian (4.8.0-2)
* logical/4.8.0-3ubuntu1 represents our rebased delta on top of new/debian (4.8.0-3)
* merge/4.8.0-3ubuntu1 just adds changelog and maintainer changes on top of logical/4.8.0-3ubuntu1

Hence, the following command may produce output useful to the purposes of review:

git range-diff old/debian..logical/4.8.0-2ubuntu1 new/debian..logical/4.8.0-3ubuntu1

Test packages are being built in ppa:waveform/pexpect at the following URL:

This bug was fixed in the package pexpect - 4.8.0-3ubuntu1

  * Merge from Debian unstable (LP: #1987420). Remaining changes:
    - d/test/control: Keep needs-root Restriction, to fix flaky tests:
      "test_run_event_as_function/_method"
  * Work around an issue in bash (LP: 1097467) which causes --rcfile to
    override the user .bashrc but not the system-wide /etc/bash.bashrc. This
    affects the pexpect test-suite under environments in which the system-wide
    bashrc causes interactive shells to output additional preamble. Instead,
    use --norc (which suppresses both user and system-wide bashrc) and change
    PS1 via the environment.

pexpect (4.8.0-3) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Set upstream metadata fields: Repository, Repository-Browse.
  * Remove constraints unnecessary since buster:
    + python-pexpect-doc: Drop versioned constraint on python-pexpect in
      Replaces.
