Bug Description

It's a BE issue, reported upstream

and in Debian

The issue isn't new but that test didn't exist in the previous version

One proposal suggested by Debian's exempi maintainer is to remove exempi on s390x. All of its reverse dependencies except for equalx have a build option for exempi so we could turn off that feature on that architecture by tweaking debian/control and debian/rules.

equalx has no reverse dependencies so removing exempi on s390x seems fine.

An IBM engineer commented a week ago on https:/bugs.debian.org/1018224 that he will look into this bug but it might not be fixed soon enough for our needs.

While comment 1 is technically correct, it is a bunch of work when hopefully exempi will be fixed relatively soon.

The affected packages are all desktop packages and we don't support desktop on s390x, so the simpler solution is to continue ignoring build test failures like was done with previous Ubuntu releases (without complaint).
