Bug Description

Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-new

I have Nvidia GeForce FX5200 card.
When i install restricted drivers (nvida-glx-new) or drivers from nvidia site my monitor turns off on next reboot.
I discovered that the drivers misspelled one word while creating new xorg.conf.
They are writing:
Defaultdepth 24
instead of:
DefaultDepth 24
That one letter is the bug.
I found this bug on Gutsy and Hardy Alpha.

UPDATE:
I reinstalled my drivers and discovered that misspelled word isn't a problem.
Now I don't know how to fix it :(
When my drivers are installed monitor just turns off on while ubuntu is booting.
I don't know why it worked last time when I changed "Defaultdepth" but now it doesn't help.

UPDATE:
Reinstalled Ubuntu and now it works with restricted (nvidia-glx-new) drivers.
Problem is probably with drivers from nvidia site.
When I install them everything goes down (even restricted drivers don't work anymore).

How did you create the new xorg.conf? Did you use the driver manager (jockey)?

Also, please attach the Xorg.0.log you get when the option is misspelled. Other drivers don't fail to load because of that, but maybe nvidia does.

My xorg.conf was auto created (changed) by driver package.
Here is my last Xorg.0.log

Ok, so the upstream installer broke things. Closing as invalid since the packaged driver works.
