Bug Description
Email addresses are accepted in the primary "Location" field (aka "Base URL"), but not in "Location aliases" (aka "Base URL aliases"). Behaviour and validation here is a little mucked up in general - see also bug #184787 and bug #191900 - so this bug might be the final push we need to get it fixed.
