images in ubuntu-docs should not be executable

Thanks for your bug. What is the reason that you say the images shouldn't be executable? This is not to challenge the validity of your bug, but rather to assess its importance.

Because executable flag should be set *only* on files which are intended to be executed. Image files are never intended for execution. I don't think it is a security threat but it is against the Unix philosophy. It probably got the executable bits by being copied from a windows partition.

this bug is still present in ubuntu-docs-8.08.2

I'd be grateful if someone from ubuntu-main-sponsors (subscribed) could do an upload of ubuntu-docs to jaunty from our bzr branch here:

https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-doc/ubuntu-doc/ubuntu-jaunty

It builds out of the branch.

We haven't had an upload yet in jaunty so the upload fixes quite a few bugs, including this one.
